Landman uses examples of two words constantly throughout the book to describe things happening at the time, as well as their thoughts and banter between the two main characters of Matt and Jake, both schoolboys. Also in the book is Lee Harper, the older kid at school who fights all the time with Jake; the reason for them doing the hike in the first place. Landman manages to give us a thoroughly entertaining story with just this confrontational aspect and the hike, without any further events taking place. Une belle histoire d'amitié |
